1. Founding and Vision

Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) was established in 2021 by Mahesa Research Center (Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia) to provide an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners in economics, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and business management science.

2. Publication Milestones

• Inaugural Issue (February 2021): EBMSJ published its first issue, Volume 1, Number 1 (February 2021), establishing its consistent biannual publication schedule in February and August.
• Official Online ISSN Registration (2021): Assigned Online ISSN 2775-3794 by the National ISSN Center of the Republic of Indonesia (BRIN / Perpusnas RI).
• Crossref DOI & National Indexing (2021–2023): Integrated persistent Crossref Digital Object Identifiers under prefix 10.34007/ebmsj and indexed in GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital), Google Scholar, and Dimensions.
• National Journal Accreditation — SINTA 5 (2024): Awarded SINTA 5 National Accreditation by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia based on Decree No. 72/E/KPT/2024 dated 1 April 2024, valid from Volume 1 Number 2 (2021) through Volume 6 Number 1 (2026) (SINTA ID: 11845).
• Institutional Academic Partnerships & Policy Modernization (2025): Strengthened multi-institutional editorial and reviewer collaboration through formal 5-year Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with STMIK TIME Medan, Universitas Terbuka (UT) Medan, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (OIF UMSU), alongside comprehensive alignment with COPE, DOAJ, and ARJUNA accreditation standards.
